Bridge to Freedom Ministries is dedicated to providing guidance to inmates and their families to ensure that they succeed in and out of prison. Our pastor saw how the system does so little to help inmates to succeed upon their release, and how families struggle so deeply with the financial and emotional burdens that come with a loved one being incarcerated.

As a result we provide outstanding resources to assist you in your spiritual growth as well as with your day to day needs. While focusing on assistance to mainly Carver and Scott County residents and parole releasees, we will do wha we can to find resources in your area to assist you no matter where you live.

One thing we do recommend is to contact the United Way assistance line at 211 on any phone. They will provide you with all available resources that are available in your community or in the community in which you plan on living. Because of their long history of providing these kinds of services you can be sure that they have valuable assets at their disposal.

Bridge to Freedom Ministries also sees the need to start making a difference wthin the state legislatures. We will be putting together a site for famillies of inmates to contact their state representatives and voice their demands on the changes that need to occur. We will also be adding an email newsletter list to let you know of new developments or decisions that are effecting Minnesota inmates. If you have a member of your family who is in a correctional facility in another state, we will be looking to make a newsletter in the future to include all states' issues.

We also intend to very soon be providing a document bank where you can find legal documents to download and use for your loved one. These will be in Word Document form and will include whatever documents we can find to use. While we do not guarantee that you will have any positive results with them, at least they may provide a source of direction for you to follow.

Local services will be providing to assist you in finding housing, employment, counseling, utility assistance, government aid and the like.

Most importantly we want to assist those who are locked up to succeed on the outside and on the inside. If you have a family member who is incarcerated and they need Bible study materials, direction to their life, or simply need someone to talk to please send us an email and we will assist you in whatever ways we can.
