After many years of staying silent in ministry, I feel that God has recently unleashed me once again. Part of this was due to God needing to properly discipline me, but part was embedded into a need to be more mature; mature as a pastor, a theologian, and just as a person. Returning to a […]

One of the most difficult parts of trying to reach a state of perfection is that many lack a real understanding of who Jesus is. Sadly, far too many Christians know very little about the Bible and what it teaches, as most of their understanding comes from what they learn in church each Sunday. This […]
As we talk about becoming a new creation, a central part of this new beginning is our faith in Christ. We read that anyone who is in Christ is a new creation, but what does “in Christ” actually mean?
Today, we look at the death of Jesus on the cross and how he made Himself ultimately responsible for the sins of all of mankind. Jesus had to die because He made it so that only He could be responsible for our sins.
In our last lesson, we talked about how a person who has put their faith and trust in Jesus has been made an entirely new creation. The shame, guilt, pain, and fear that we feel has been removed, and the Holy Spirit has entered our bodies, creating something new in us that transforms us away from the things that have often left us debilitated in some way or another.

This became known as the “Texas Model” and was widely hailed as a total success. A recent study […]
After two years of ignoring one of the most egregious abuses in America for years, it looks like the United States Congress and President Donald Trump are ready to make some serious changes in the criminal justice and prison systems in 2018. In October 2017, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) announced that a bipartisan commission is ready to reintroduce the Sentencing Reform and Corrections Act (SRCA), which would completely overhaul the prison system, especially related to non-violent drug offenders.
The truth is that evolution has many flaws to it, and the presentation of it as fact is far from reality. Science itself brings the theory into question when compared to the Laws of Thermodynamics and the Cell Theory.
