One Church Standing for Love
It was interesting today that after I completed my post on holding prisoners accountable so they have a better chance of succeeding after their release, I came across this article on FOX News.
According to the article:
The Diocese of Des Moines triggered backlash from progressives with its strict new “gender identity” policies in schools and parishes, including bans on using preferred gender pronouns and puberty blockers.
Democratic State Sen. Claire Celsi slammed the move as un-Christian in a Jan. 4 Facebook post, claiming the diocese was pushing to “[codify] ostracism of transgender kids.”
“These schools want public dollars and want to treat kids in a way that might cause them to commit suicide. This is not what Jesus would do,” Celsi said.
The FOX News headline declared that this was a victory for the “First Amendment,” but that is a secondary victory to say the least. Where this is a victory is for the person who is suffering from gender dysphoria, believing that they are the opposite sex from who they are.
State representative Claire Celsi explained that Jesus would not impose such a policy, but she could not be further from the truth. Keep in mind that God is the Creator of all people. Genesis 1:1 declares that God created the heavens and the earth and everything in it, and John 1:1-3 confirms this. Jeremiah 1:5 declares that God is the one who formed us in the womb. Therefore, He is the one who gets to determine our gender and sex, and not mental illness, society, or anyone else. He declared that all human beings were created as male or female (Genesis 1:27), not non-binary, or some other belief beyond how God created them.
To believe in contrast to what God dictates is to support the work of Satan. Unfortunately, this is not something that is being openly said enough. If one is to believe that God is the Creator of each one of us, then He is the Owner of each one of us as well. That may not be popular to say or hear, but God formed us and has the right to declare what and who we are.
Therefore, one who decides that it is acceptable for a person to “change” their gender because they believe this to be true is worshiping and honoring Satan. They are denying God His right as the Creator, which means they are supporting the claim of Satan.
The Diocese of Des Moines is demonstrating true love. They recognize that God is the Creator of all things and want each person to recognize the beauty in which God formed them. Instead of supporting mental illness, they are lovingly challenging the “woke” Satan worshipers and are demonstrating true love by not supporting mental illness. They are wanting to see people get better and are taking a stand for better health, both spiritually and mentally.
This also reminds us that whenever one is seeking the righteousness of God and to do what is right for others that Satan and his followers will use the media and political leaders to attack them. It is why we must stand firm and should applaud the Diocese for their faithfulness to God.
